CEREBRAL PALSY & AFO’s ANKLE FOOT ORTHOTICS! When to wear AFO’s and Memo Orthopedic Shoes.

Hi Friends!! In this video I explain when to wear AFOs and also when not to wear AFO’s for various activities and exercises!! It’s important to do both throughout the day!! Memo Orthotic Shoes are a great solution for when your child needs a break from their AFOs or if their AFO’s have become to small and they are awaiting a new pair. Below I have linked some great styles of Memo orthotic shoes for kids! It’s important to note you DO NOT wear your AFO’s with the Memo Shoes!! Memo does make 2 styles that they call their AFO supportive orthopedic shoes. Again you don’t wear your actual AFO’s with those!! Memo shoes are very supportive and allow the foot to be supported and move naturally when wearing their shoe and doing activities as opposed to wearing Ankle Foot Orthotics with shoes. Always follow up with your physical therapist and ortho and prosthetics team about proper wear and if they could be a solution for your child when they need a break from their daily AFO’s.
