How To Put Your Porsche 991.1 911 In Service Position (2012-2016 Carrera Models)
►Unlike previous generations, you can't actually access the engine in a Porsche 991 Carrera from a traditional engine lid. Instead, you must remove the rear bumper assembly, the airbox, and some cooling pieces to reach it. Porsche calls that state of disassembly "Service Position," as it's the starting point for all engine maintenance. You'll need to get here if you're DIYing, so follow along with Rusty Herten, FCP Euro's In-House Technician, to ensure you do it right!
