BIBLE STUDY: Is the Holy Spirit God?

In today’s Bible study, I begin by sharing my personal testimony of how I came to know Jesus and how He faithfully led me through His Word. I talk about how I started by randomly flipping through the pages of the Bible,l and how the Lord met me there and transformed my approach from simply reading by chance to being led from Genesis to Revelation through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. From there, we dive into Acts 5:3–5 to answer an important question: Is the Holy Spirit God? I also share a conversation I had a few weeks ago with someone who rejects the doctrine of the Trinity and does not believe the Holy Spirit is God. We examine what Scripture says and why this truth matters for our understanding of who God is. Finally, we study Matthew 28:19 together, where the Holy Spirit reveals something to me in real time as we read the passage. We explore how Jesus’ words beautifully display the triune nature of God and how Scripture consistently testifies to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
