The Abandoned Eastgate Sears (Cincinnati, Ohio)

What do many people in Cincinnati think about when I say the word "Sears"? Most will probably say retail, home furnishings, appliances, clothing, shoes, jewelry, and much more. But other people refers to Sears as abandoned or forgotten. The company was established in 1892 and thrived in the retail industry for providing a wide variety of products for it's customers and for a while the company thrived. I am looking at one of the most iconic and prolific retailers in history. A corporation which grew from a small mail order business in Chicago, to pioneering modern retail and what is now known as the "big box store" as well as shopping malls. Sears also used to owned the tallest building in the world, Sears Tower which is now renamed Willis Tower.
