DEEPER THAN YOU THINK - Silent Hill Homecoming Review & Analysis | Dreamcatcher Theory
A Misunderstood Gem - Silent Hill Homecoming Analysis w/ Developer Theories from Odd Dimensions | Dreamcatcher Theory Why is Pyramid Head in Silent Hill Homecoming? Hoe does Alex know how to fight if he's not a soldier? Is Silent Hill Homecoming that bad? Why is Silent Hill Homecoming hated? Is it the worst Silent Hill game? Please allow me to answer this questions from a different point of view. Please give my analysis a shot, it would mean the world to me if those who come across this video watch the whole thing. Maybe ease the wait for future Silent Hill installments, and learn a thing or two about the most underrated Silent Hill. This is my Silent Hill Homecoming review and analysis. If you think Silent Hill Homecoming has a nightmarish combat system, then give @grnnm8255 's channel a look. They have a lot of strats to help make combat easier and more enjoyable: / @grnnm8255 Here are some timestamps, but I highly recommend please trying to watch the video in full🥹 00:00 My Proposal 07:25 Pyramid Head, what you doing here? 14:10 Trees & Spiders, what does it mean? 22:07 A plothole? Think again! 29:54 Hell Descent theory 35:56 A VERY misunderstood scene! 37:52 Alex is INNOCENT! 44:47 Silent Hill's design in SHV 56:06 My favorite scene in the game 58:37 How, and why, does Alex know how to fight? 1:06:16 Amnion, who is she? 1:11:34 A few final common criticisms to address. No one reads these. I'm RuminInLove though some call me Ru. The more I play Silent Hill Homecoming the more I see just how much right it does. I think this might beat Origins as my favorite Silent Hill game, maybe even being one of my all time favorite games. It's one of my favorite stories. Please let this former western Silent Hill hater share his thoughts., just here me out. A man destined to die ending up being one of the only survivors after the wrong person takes his place, then being guided by that person to unknowingly set free the souls of his friends. Such a beautiful game to me. The true Pyramid Head in this game is Josh. Pyramid Head was James's guide in SH2, forcing James the correct way when need be. Josh does the same to Alex, running towards where the souls of his sacrificed friends are. Alex defeats their spirits and lays their souls to rest. Alex, who was meant to be sacrificed, ends up being the only survivor of his family and serves as a symbolic older brother for all the children who died by setting free their souls by defeating their spirits, guided to them by his brother, like a freak accident of fate. Poetic. It's not only one of my favorite Silent Hill games, but one of my favorite games of all time. It is a masterclass in detail, and fans only say it isn't subtle because they aren't noticing what they aren't being directly told. I'm not forcing anyone to think any certain way about this game and I'm not trying to clear up "misconceptions" as I don't think misconceptions exist in Silent Hill, at least not in the way most fans seem to think, just different interpretations. Anyway, here's my interpretation of one of my all time favorite video games. What? You never thought you'd see someone defending Silent Hill Homecoming?
