First Caretaker is Episode 2 of Someone Among Us, the new limited series from Mark Angel TV, from the house of Mark Angel Comedy. After the strange letters and growing tension introduced in Episode 1, life in the compound continues, but the atmosphere is beginning to change. The trust people once had in each other is slowly becoming unstable, and even ordinary conversations now carry hidden meaning. In this episode, the landlord, Mazi, prepares to travel to the village, leaving the compound without supervision. Before leaving, he introduces a new tenant, Ephie, a calm and quiet graphic designer whose arrival immediately changes the balance inside the compound. At first, everyone tries to welcome him peacefully, but in a compound where everybody watches everybody, peace never stays simple for long. As arguments over rent, power, responsibility, survival, and respect begin to grow, a new caretaker is appointed to control the compound while the landlord is away. New rules are introduced, tensions rise, and small conversations slowly begin exposing deeper personalities hidden behind everyday behavior. But while some people see Ephie as calm and respectful, others are not fully convinced. In a compound already filled with suspicion, silence itself starts to look suspicious. From funny compound meetings and chaotic caretaker policies, to subtle emotional moments, jealousy, gossip, friendship, survival, romance, and quiet observations, First Caretaker continues building the mystery behind Someone Among Us while keeping the humor and realism that fans of Mark Angel Comedy and Mark Angel TV have followed for years. This episode explores the everyday realities of compound life in Nigeria and across Africa, where people from different backgrounds, struggles, and personalities are forced to live together while hiding different parts of themselves.
