Kent Coast Hike | Part 1 | Woolwich - Gravesend 🇬🇧 'Sludge, Sewage & Sunshine'

In this video I'm starting a hike around the coastline of Kent, and in the future I will be carrying on into Sussex, Hampshire and beyond. I'll be carrying out the hikes as and when I have time and opportunity and public transport allows, following the coastline as much as possible. This journey starts in Woolwich, where I started a previous walk along the Thames ending in Windsor. I walked east this time in excellent February weather (fresh, sunny, no wind), along the river past massive industrial areas, Crossness Pumping Station, Dartford Creek, Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, Greenhithe and into Gravesend. Over 20 miles hiking over flat terrain in around 8 hours. The next part, Gravesend - Rochester via Isle of Grain will be a bit more rural and a bit more relaxed, spreading the hike over 2 days.
