Adult Life Made Me Understand Hathaway Noa

When I was in high school, I read Hathaway's Flash for the first time. I loved Gundam. I had already watched Mobile Suit Gundam, Zeta Gundam, ZZ Gundam, Stardust Memory, and Char's Counterattack. But even after reading Hathaway's Flash, there was one thing I never truly understood: Why did Hathaway become Mafty? Years later, the Hathaway's Flash movie was released. I watched the same story again, expecting nostalgia. Instead, I found myself understanding Hathaway in a way I never could as a teenager. This isn't a review of Hathaway's Flash. It's a reflection on growing older, working, carrying responsibilities, and realizing that some anime characters hit very differently as adults. Maybe the story never changed. Maybe I did.
