Presidential Address Regarding the Bombing in Oklahoma City (1995)
This is video footage of President Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton during a special broadcast of the Weekly Radio Address. This footage is official public record produced by the White House Television (WHTV) crew, provided by the Clinton Presidential Library. President Clinton and First Lady Clinton were worried that the images portrayed of children being injuried and killed in the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah building in Oklahoma City could have dire effects on children. To reassure them, the Weekly Radio Address for April 22nd was a special address both broadcast over radio and televised from the Oval Office. The Clinton's invited children to the Oval Office to discuss the impacts of the bombing. Date: April 22, 1995 Location: Oval Office, White House.
