Ein Tag im Mountainbike Paradies - Davos Teil 2 - Chalbersäss Trail

Join me for Part 2 of my epic trail adventure in the breathtaking mountain paradise of Davos! This time, I’m tackling an incredible route from Weissfluhjoch, past the stunning Totalpsee and the Parsennhütte, all the way to the legendary Chalbersäss Trail. And I wasn’t alone – Markus from @bike_am_limit, an absolute legend at 68 years young, led the way, riding Black Diamond trails as if they were a walk in the park! The journey to Chalbersäss isn't just a downhill thrill ride – first, there's a tough climb from the Parsennhütte via the Panoramatrail. But trust me, the reward is worth every drop of sweat! Once you reach the other side, you're greeted by a world-class natural trail with unbeatable flow and scenery. The Chalbersäss Trail lives up to its Black Diamond status, delivering an intense mix of rocky sections up top and root-laced forest trails further down – with barely a moment to catch your breath! This trip was part of my mini road trip, with Fiss as my first stop and Davos as the grand finale. Looking back, I should have spent two days in Davos instead of one! Don’t get me wrong – Fiss is a fantastic bike spot, but the trails there are generally more accessible, and I was already familiar with most of them. Davos, on the other hand, is an endless playground for enduro riders and lovers of technical natural trails. One day simply isn’t enough to soak it all in. But what truly sets Davos apart isn't just the jaw-dropping trails or the stunning alpine views – it's also the seamless coexistence of hikers and mountain bikers on the shared trails, making it the most enjoyable and welcoming bike destination I’ve ever experienced. One thing is certain: I’ll be back in 2025! With more time, better route planning, and some local knowledge under my belt, I’ll make sure to explore even more of Davos' hidden gems.
