At 16, Patricia Mativo was in a near-fatal road accident that left her partially paralysed and out of school for two years. She refused to quit. She graduated top of her class with First Class Honors, became a Rhodes Scholarship finalist, earned a full Mastercard Foundation scholarship to Oxford University, and has gone on to advise the UN, the Kenyan government, and now leads Climclusive — a movement making climate action accessible to persons with disabilities and marginalized communities.
