The excerpt commences with the trio of the three boys "Zum Ziele führt dich diese Bahn" through the wonderful scene with Canadian bass, Philip Ens, as the Speaker. The excerpt concludes with the flute aria "Wie stark ist nicht dein Zauberton". The Orchestre de l'Opéra de Montréal is conducted by Raffi Armenian.
