How to Practice Yoganidra (Conscious Sleep)?
Paramahamsa Prajnanananda is a God realized master and a world renowned teacher of Kriya Yoga. He represents an ancient and unbroken lineage of Kriya Yoga masters that include such spiritual stalwarts like Mahavatar Babaji, Yogiraj Shri Shyamacharan Lahiri Mahashaya, Swami Shriyukteshwar Giri, Shri Bhupendranath Sanyal Mahashaya, Paramahamsa Yogananda the author of Autobiography of a Yogi, Swami Satyananda Giri, and Paramahamsa Hariharananda. This video is taken from a class on the Yoga Sutra of Sage Patanjali that Paramahamsaji was conducting for the Residential Brahmachari Training Course held in the ashram in Balighai, near Puri, in India. Here the Paramahamsa yogi teaches how to convert ordinary sleep into Yoganidra - or the Yogi's sleep. He explains that Yogis can watch that they are sleeping and in a few minutes of this practice can get the relaxation of few hours of normal sleep.
