Speargun Fishing on the Brazos River for Carp.

Epic day of Spear Fishing on the Brazos River just South of Morris Sheppard Dam. We found a few holes deep enough to hold some fish. These fish are invasive and are not game fish. We harvested them and will be using them for organic fertilizer for our pecan trees. The JBL Explorer 55 is the perfect Speargun for a shallow river. I previously used my JBL Woody Magnum Sawed Off and it was a little bulky for shallow swift water. The Explorer packs a great punch for a short gun. I was using a reel today, but in the future I will probably go back to only the leader line for this type of fishing. Hope you enjoy the video.
