Initial support from the Horticulture Department was limited to fencing, and they had to purchase expensive plants from Himachal Pradesh, even with a small subsidy (1:56-2:10, 3:56-4:05). Water Management: They have set up their own motor to pump water from a distant stream for irrigation (2:16-2:20, 3:48-3:54). Financial Investment: Pratap Singh Mehra has invested lakhs of rupees, including his army pension, into developing the orchard (6:04-6:16, 7:40-7:43). Road Connectivity: A major issue is the dilapidated road to their village, making transportation of goods difficult and expensive (6:25-6:44, 10:18-10:30, 12:13-12:20). The road, built in 2021, has not been maintained (6:56-7:07, 8:26-8:35).
