EXTREM GEILE BIKE TOUR IM ZILLERTAL - PFITSCHER JOCH 2020 / MTB STRECKE MIT MEGA TRAIL /Mountainbike

The Pfitscher Joch (Italian: Passo di Vizze) is a 2,246-meter-high valley crossing over the main Alpine ridge from the Austrian Zamser Grund in the upper Zillertal valley into the South Tyrolean Pfitscher Valley, a side valley of the Eisack Valley. The Pfitscher Joch is generally accessible from the South Tyrolean side, but can also be used as a stage destination from the Zillertal valley. That's what we did, starting directly in Mayrhofen. From there, we climbed the loooong pass road toward the Schlecheis reservoir, through the Zamnser Grund to the Lavitzalm, and on to the Pfitscher Joch. The approximately six-kilometer-long trail is passable for cyclists, although bikes must be carried in sections—especially uphill. The Pfitscher Joch is an important pass for mountain bikers on a Transalpine tour, but can also be ridden as a day trip, for example, starting from the Zillertal.
