The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets, at a press conference dedicated to the fourth year of his activity, harshly criticized the current mobilization system in Ukraine. He called it a “stick system” and a failure of state policy. The Ombudsman cited shocking examples of the CCC and the VLK recognizing “completely healthy” and sending people with serious diagnoses — diabetes, HIV infection, and syphilis — to training grounds, assigning them to work in the kitchen.
