Construction of a 50 cc Kreidler Florett for an 8-hour road race. Goal: Engine power greater than 16 hp for a 50 cc engine with the widest possible power range. High chassis rigidity with minimal weight. Durable brakes. Excerpt from the rulebook with the most important requirements: 1. The base model must have been road legal in Germany with a 50 cc engine. 2. All parts may be reworked. 3. The original engine block must be from the original vehicle. Accessory cylinders are permitted, and the engine block and cylinders may be reworked. 4. Only air-cooled engines are permitted. 5. The number of gears must match the original. 6. The chassis design is optional (single-track, no scooter chassis), wheel diameters 16 and 17 inches. A highlight for 50cc fans. Food, drinks, the sounds and smells of two-stroke motorcycles for 8 hours. Pit stops with refueling and rider changes at least every hour. The entire race track and pit lane are visible from all sides and can be walked around. Come along and watch the spectacle. But be careful, it's addictive 😉
