Mary’s Apparitions for the World: LaSalette-Melanie

Melanie Calvat was the primary bearer, guardian and publisher of the great Secret. She and Maximin had only met the day before. Maximin basically served as witness to Melanie because Melanie had to bear the burden of the more difficult, unpopular part of the message of the weeping Mother at LaSalette. Her saintly bishop approved the apparition, but subsequent bishops and many clergy who were more loyal to political regimes or Freemasonry resisted the message and persecuted Melanie the rest of her life. A careful look at Melanie’s sterling character will reveal why heaven entrusted her with this difficult mission. She was definitely up to the task.
