George Bridgetower | Sopranos W/O Borders (Ep. 06)
The virtuoso violinist and child prodigy, George Bridgetower, once had all of Europe bewitched by his masterful playing. Born to a father of African descent and a Polish/German mother, the musician was, at one time, close friends with Ludwig van Beethoven. A falling out between the two sadly erased Bridgetower's name from the classical music lexicon. For this next episode of "Black Lives Matter in Classical Music," tune in to learn more about this extraordinary artist who is just now, several hundred years later, being re-embraced as one of history's greatest talents. ________________________________________ FOLLOW US ON SOCIAL MEDIA: Website - https://linktr.ee/sopranoswithoutborders Instagram - / sopranoswithoutborders TikTok - / sopranoswithoutborders Twitter - / sopranoswithout
