In a quiet village, Christophe, the mechanic, is found dead under mysterious circumstances. Shortly after, a stranger arrives in the village: a discreet and talented man, unknown to everyone. He quickly takes over Christophe's garage and house with the widow's consent. His arrival intrigues the villagers, as does his unexpected relationship with a shy young neighbor, who seems to open up and blossom in his presence. Rumors begin to circulate about this man, nicknamed "the Reaper," to whom some attribute special gifts, much to the dismay of Marie-Fer, the village healer.
