Bitlis Miri II. Abdal Han ve Dönemi

The emirate system in Kurdistan has been one of the fundamental administrative methods for centuries. Kurdish emirates, often subordinate to an external authority, possessed their own state organization. Dismantled by the Ottoman Empire in the mid-19th century, the Kurdish emirates carried the memory of the society they represented for centuries through their economy, military and political power, knowledge, administrative experience, and culture and tradition. One of those who played a role in carrying this culture, tradition, knowledge, and memory was the Mirate of Bitlis. With its rich history and cultural heritage, the Mirate of Bitlis also paved the way for the emergence of many historical figures. It is no coincidence that the first Kurdish history book, the Şerefname, was written by Miri Şerefhan of Bitlis, nor is it coincidental that it left its mark on the reign of his grandson Abdal Khan.
