This boy in the photo is my son, DAVI. He is 2 years and 9 months old. He was born with a congenital malformation in his leg called "fibular hemimelia." After his birth, we relentlessly sought treatment in our state. After frustrations with the amputation diagnosis from several local orthopedists, we sought a new medical evaluation in Curitiba at CERO, a center specialized in bone reconstruction and lengthening, and other highly complex specialties. The cost of treatment at CERO in Curitiba/Paraná is 201,000 reais, and our financial reality is completely incompatible with this amount. My wife and I decided to ask for help. We created an Instagram account specifically to ask for help, to show the progress, treatment, accountability, and other content relevant to our son's treatment.
