Chief Minister said the demand for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir's statehood is gaining wider public support, with nearly 170 civil society members backing the proposed protest at Jantar Mantar during a meeting chaired by and the Nc President Dr Farooq Abdullah . He said all those present supported the statehood demand and assured participation in the protest. Abdullah added that the National Conference will invite parties from the INDIA bloc as well as political parties that are not aligned with either the UPA or the NDA, and said Dr. Farooq Abdullah will soon send invitation letters.
