CarPlay Upgrade for Porsche Cayenne 958 | Not as Plug & Play as Advertised…

Back working on the Porsche Cayenne 958, and this time I’m upgrading the interior with a modern head unit featuring Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. This upgrade is marketed as a plug and play install, but in reality… it turned into a much bigger job than expected. With no proper instructions and slow responses from the supplier (a common issue when buying through Alibaba), the install ended up taking several weeks to complete. In this video, I show the full installation process, how I got everything working, and give an honest review at the end — including the compromises you need to consider before doing this upgrade on your own Porsche Cayenne 958 (2011–2017). Alongside the head unit install, I also retrofit a genuine Porsche dash chrono clock — a simple and relatively cheap upgrade that adds a much more premium feel to the interior. However, I’ve run into an issue… the clock doesn’t illuminate. 👉 If you’ve done this retrofit before, I’d really appreciate your help in the comments — does it need additional wiring or coding?
