5-08-1997. ((((FYI: Game ends abruptly in last 2-3 mins, Lakers won gm 104-84.))). Semis, Gm 3, Utah up 2-0. A persisting myth is that the Jazz swept the Lakers in 97 and 98, but they did lose 1 game. I've even seen that falsehood printed in a major newspaper before. This was Malone's worst playoff game ever, 2/20 shooting. A very ugly, free throw filled game. Rookie Kobe does play a little bit.
