Okayu Speaks in Her Natural Accent [Eng Sub/Hololive]

Okayu accidentally revealed where she's from when she mentioned tamago miso, and leaned into it by posting a voice tweet of her speaking in her native Tohoku dialect. Notes on the accent/dialect: The Tohoku dialect is usually considered a rural accent. Although the go-to localization for any non-standard Japanese dialect is usually the American southern accent, I tried to go with a closer parallel. With the Tohoku dialect being a northern, rural accent, there's a few analogues in America. I went with a Maine accent, as Maine is similarly rural and chilly. (I know there's other rural, northern accents on the West Coast and in the Midwest, but I'm even less familiar with those, let alone those of other English-speaking countries) The Maine accent might not have come across in phoneticized text, but it's slightly similar to a Boston accent (or if you're from the UK, think West Country) Tl:dr Accents and dialects are hard.
