Tag der Architektur widmet sich in Neubrandenburg der Oststadt

In just 10 years, starting in 1970, the Oststadt residential area grew into a neighborhood for over 25,000 people. This was made possible in part by the newly developed prefabricated concrete panel construction method known as the "WBS 70." The first apartment block built using this method can still be seen today in its original form in Neubrandenburg's largest district. On Architecture Day 2021 in Neubrandenburg, the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Chamber of Architects will focus on the origins, development, and future of Oststadt from architectural, urban planning, and landscape design perspectives.
