The Sotho, also referred to as the Basotho, are a large and diverse group of Bantu ethnicity found in Southern Africa. The word Sotho is currently strongly connected with the Southern Sotho people. The group's main communities are found in South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana, and western Zambia. There are fewer communities in Zimbabwe and Namibia.
