The Grooming Gang Behind England's Traffic Light Vandalism
In this episode of Mind of Steele, we look at the strange network of men orbiting Mark Steele: Matt Houston, Michael Humble, Ben Butler, Gary Waterman and others who appear to have absorbed Steele’s claims about 5G, ULEZ cameras and traffic sensors being secret weapons systems. What begins as conspiracy content soon becomes something much darker: men climbing traffic lights, cutting down public infrastructure, filming themselves with power tools, and then presenting the whole thing as heroism, journalism or self-defence. At the centre of it all is Mark Steele, a man with no relevant technical expertise, but an uncanny ability to flatter angry, grandiose men into believing they alone can see the truth. This episode asks whether Steele is merely a harmless crank, or whether his influence functions more like a grooming operation: identifying vulnerable followers, validating their delusions, and encouraging them toward acts that may ruin their own lives while leaving Steele safely in the background.
