Kuhn Espro 6000 R im 6-m-Universaldrillmaschinen im Vergleich (5/8) | profi #Praxistest
In the summer of 2019, profi conducted a comparison test with eight 6 m wide universal seed drills: On the Kuhn Espro, the packer wheels are mounted offset to the outside, not in the center. A tine bar was used at the front. From profi 02/2020: https://www.profi.de/test/praxistest/... Media library for the comparison test part 2: https://www.profi.de/test/praxistest/... A special feature of the Espro is the tire packer: On the side elements, the wheels are offset from each other, but at the same height in the center of the machine. Not only the drawbar but also many other details on the Espro are very tidy and user-friendly. Kuhn uses a special profile tube for depth control of the compact disc harrow and seed bar. Alexander Grühl from Kuhn on the Espro. INTERVIEW With the Espro, we placed particular emphasis on user-friendliness. This is demonstrated by the integrated headland management. We have a large tire packer for safe road transport – and a machine with low traction. And, of course, the Crossflex seed bar, which is absolutely essential, distinguished by its high precision in both depth placement and longitudinal distribution. The hopper on the Espro, at 3500 liters, holds relatively little seed compared to the group; however, it is nice and wide and offers, for example, a walk-through protective grid with an adjustable handrail. The Espro metering is centralized. The seed is directed to the coulters via the Vista-Flow distributor head, which enables all tramline rhythms and seed flow monitoring. The working depth of the seed bar and all other setting parameters can be conveniently controlled via the terminal, for which the manufacturer equipped the tractor with the CCI 1200 and an additional joystick. In terms of traction requirements, the seed drill ranked mid-range. This is also where the machine ranks with its empty weight of 8.7 t. When folded for road travel, the machine – like many other competitors – pulls individual tires upwards in the middle.
