Winner Breaks Course Record! 🏆 2026 Gold Coast Half Marathon Finish Line |

What an emotional and unforgettable day at the Gold Coast Broadwater Parklands! ☀️ Today, I had the incredible experience of cheering home the champions at the finish line of the World Athletics Label Road Race, the China Airlines Half Marathon. 🏃‍♂️ There was so much buzz in the air! It was a massive thrill to see Japan’s Shunpei Tomita power through the ribbon to claim victory in a record-breaking 1:00:52, followed by fantastic efforts from Edward Marks (AUS) and Kazuto Kawabata (JPN). 🇯🇵🇦🇺 I was mistaken earlier when I estimated the participant numbers—the total 2026 ASICS Gold Coast Marathon weekend actually reached a record-breaking 42,000+ entries! 📈 From the Half Marathon to the full Marathon and all the fun runs in between, it’s truly a world-class weekend that brings the whole community together. 🌤️ Being there in the stands to share in the raw emotion of these athletes achieving their dreams was something I’ll never forget.
