7 ERROS QUE DEIXAM A CASA QUENTE - ESCAPAR DO CALOR SEM AR CONDICIONADO EM CASAS E APARTAMENTOS
HOW TO SURVIVE THE HEAT WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING? It seems like a daunting task, right? But it is possible to COOL YOUR HOME without using appliances. After all, electricity bills are getting higher and not everyone can use SOLAR ENERGY. Today's video offers great options for saving electricity by properly insulating your home or apartment. THERMAL INSULATION involves adopting measures to prevent the exchange of external temperatures with the interior of our homes, preventing a HOT or COLD HOUSE. ITEM 1 – SUN POSITION – The position of the sun is one of the most important things when we think about building a house because it directly influences whether the house will be well ventilated, well lit and cool, I say this because some facades can heat up your house, this is the case of the north facade and the west facade, so these are faces of the house that we generally avoid long-stay environments such as bedrooms and living rooms, on the south facade, be careful with very humid environments, as they will not get sun and places to dry clothes can be bad there too. Interesting solutions for walls include gluing EPS (Styrofoam) to the facade or interior walls, building a drywall backing with rock wool or glass wool, using vermiculite in the mortar or inside the blocks, thermal paint, sandwich tiles, ventilated facades, ecological bricks, cobogó, sunshades, awnings, and pergolas. ITEM 2 – WALLS – Block types affect thermal insulation. Ceramic blocks and bricks are more efficient at thermal insulation. Concrete blocks are less efficient at thermal insulation, which affects structural walls, and reinforced concrete walls are the worst thermal insulation solution. ITEM 3 – ROOFING – The most important factor in a home's thermal comfort is the roof. Depending on the type of roofing used, your home can get hotter. The worst types of roofing are fiber cement, PVC, metal, concrete, polycarbonate, and translucent roofing. The best roofing materials are ceramic, enameled, and sandwich roofing. We can paint the roof with thermal paint or white paint, we can use a sub-roofing blanket or thermal blanket, we can use a plaster lining with mineral wool on top and EPS. A green roof also helps a lot, but requires structural reinforcement. If it's an exposed slab, you can use aluminized asphalt blanket, expanded clay, or even an EPS subfloor; ITEM 4 – BACKYARD – Don't leave the entire yard cemented or paved, as this will overheat your house. Have some grass or even permeable areas, the same goes for your sidewalk; ITEM 5 – WINDOWS – Poorly ventilated areas can get hotter. Be careful not to install windows that are too small, and be careful not to push your house against both sides of the lot, as this can hinder natural ventilation. In these cases, try using a winter garden, overhead lighting with skylights, skylights, or other options to bring light and air into the house. Be careful not to use too much glass, as this heats up the house. You can use insulated glass, double-glazed windows, solar-control glass, and solar-control film, as well as windows with shutters and mosquito nets, and take advantage of cross-ventilation. ITEM 6 – TOO MUCH FURNITURE – A room with too much furniture even hinders air circulation. A MINIMALIST HOME, however, with less furniture helps keep the house cooler, whether it's a sofa, armchairs, sideboard, china cabinet, cabinets, etc.; ITEM 7 – DARK COLORS – They absorb more heat and make your house warmer, while light colors have the opposite effect and make your house cooler.
