FFG Actor's Talk 2025: Theresa Russell

American actress Theresa Russel is the guest of honour of our Classics programme dedicated to British director Nicolas Roeg. Together with Roeg, she made six films, including Bad Timing (1980), in which Russell starred opposite singer Art Garfunkel. Her vulnerable performance in that first collaboration between Roeg and his muse remains one of the most powerful of the 1980s. In subsequent films such as Eureka (1983), Insignificance (1985), and Track 29 (1988), the Roeg-Russell partnership delved into complex explorations of self-destruction, mythmaking, and American childhood.
