In this episode, I have a fantastic chat with Adam Marcus, the director of Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday. It was a tremendous honor for me, as I’m a huge fan of the Friday the 13th franchise, and this was my first opportunity to chat with someone from it. The discussion was everything I hoped for; Adam shared his unique perspective on Jason, including how the * Evil Dead’s Book of the Dead made its way into the film. We also explored what he would do if given the chance to make another sequel, and delved into his career, from writing Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D to directing Val Kilmer in Conspiracy. Adam expressed his appreciation for the UK’s Fright Fest and how they’ve supported him over the years. To wrap things up, we debated three of Adam’s favorite films and their influence on his filmmaking journey.
