Parapente - mon 1er stage SIV à Annecy - Mai 2026 #PARAPENTE #Go2Fly #Annecy #HikoP
Since the end of 2024, I'd been thinking about doing an SIV course. Ghislain, with whom I did my initial training, was keen. So, at the end of 2025, we set a date: early May 2026. I called Alex, we arranged a date based on his bookings, and I rented a mobile home at Camping de la Nublière, right on the lake. A little while later, Alex confirmed: the course would be from May 12th to 15th, 2026. We arrived a few days beforehand to get our bearings, do a few flights from La Forclaz, and relax. On Monday the 11th, there was a briefing with Alex and the group of eight students: checking emergency equipment, radios, life jackets, etc. Videos were shown to present the first exercises that everyone would have to complete the next day. The group is great: some have already done nearly 10 SIV courses. For Delphine, Ghislain, and me, it will be the first. The meeting was set for 7:20 a.m. the next day. Leaving the briefing, we thought, "This is it! This is serious..." In the end, we flew two of the three planned days: the conditions didn't allow us to take advantage of Thursday and Friday. With three flights a day, a debriefing after each flight, and a general debriefing at the end of the day, these two days taught me a great deal. About the techniques, of course, but also about myself and my equipment. These days were intense, both physically and mentally, but they opened up new perspectives for me. So much so that I'm now eager to do another SIV course! This video presents a summary of the exercises performed: pitch, small ears, large ears, accelerated ears, asymmetric collapses, controlled collapses, simple frontal collapses, deep frontal collapses, 360s, 360s exiting a chandelle, autorotation, stall on the B-ramps. Thanks to Mallory, Ghislain, Delphine, Jérôme, Jérémie, Jean-Marc, Anthony, and Hervé for all these shared moments. And of course, thanks to Alex, Malika, and Ben (Go2Fly school)!
