Testing a Yamaha YZ300 Two Stroke!

If you're a regular viewer of SML content, then you'll know that we have recently been obsessed with two-strokes. And, that obsession might have began with our 2026 Yamaha YZ250 project bike - which quickly escalated into a YZ300 two-stoke beast. A while back, we had our friends at Bills Pipes and Race Tech build up our YZ250 test bike with an Athena 300 big-bore kit and plenty of other goodies. Following the 2026 Two Stroke World Championships and another day of dialing in the beast of a machine, we had SML test rider Pat Foster and Danny Minney spin some laps on the project bike at Glen Helen, before sharing their thoughts.
