Recall With and Without an E-Collar | Video 10 - recall training for a high prey drive dog.
In this video - video 10 in the recall training for a high prey drive dog series - I demonstrate what the e-collar - electric collar - MEANS to the dog when they are being trained to come when called. As you will see, the E-collar MUST MEAN SOMETHING!! It cannot simply 'appear' to the dog simply as a result or consequence of the dog failing to recall during recall training. The e-collar MUST provide the dog with INFORMATION. In this video, you will hear me talk again about POPA training - Point Of Perception and Adjustment training. When you think in terms of POPA as opposed to 'Low Level' or 'Working Level' for e-collar training, you will become far more comfortable with adjusting the levels of stimulation on accordance with what is required to effectively influence the behaviour of the dog.
