Now Have Good Day - A Christmas Song from Richard Hill's Commonplace Book

Richard Hill's Commonplace Book (Balliol MS 354), compiled in the first third of the 16th century, contains amongst other items a lot of poems relating to Christmas. A small number are very well known, for example The Boar's Head Carol and The Corpus Christi Carol, most are not. This is abridged from one of the lesser known ones. I've dropped several verses and slightly altered the words in some of the verses I've kept. There are no tunes given for the texts, so I wrote the tune for this. Its nice to know that Christmas celebrations lasted even longer than nowadays - from Hallowtide (31st Oct-2nd Nov) to Candlemas (2nd feb) - a whole 3 months of celebration!
