Load Balancer Options with VMware NSX. \\ NSX Advanced Load Balancer \\ AKA AVI Networks
If you are confused about the different load balancer options for VMWare NSX-T \ NSX, you are not alone. I will cover what a load balancer is, and the different options we have with VMware NSX-T \ NSX. We will look at the changes since NSX-T 3.1, 3.2 and ultimately moving forward with NSX 4.x. In this lecture we will examine the NSX Advanced Load Balancer (aka AVI Networks) architecture and discuss the Controller cluster as well as Service Engines. We will also look at Service Engines Groups and discuss the different availability options from Active / Standby, Active / Active and N+M.
