How To - Discipline A Green Cheek Conure

Green Cheek Conures would have to be one of the orneriest (is that even a word? lol) species of parrots out there! Before you discipline your green cheek, its good to stop and and think what will work specifically for your parrot. In this video, I'm going to share with you birbs on what has worked for Yoshi and I. Also a few things that haven't worked! Disciplining your parrot isn't about being the boss or being controlling. Its about teaching your bird who is the authority figure so ultimately you can keep them safe. Like with everything in life, having structure and routine leaves everyone happy, healthy, and safe. That is the goal with our parrots. Here is a quick rundown on how I discipline my green cheek conure. 1. Spend Quality time not Quantity Time 4. Target Training 5. 3-4 Birb Approved locations in the home 6. Teach Them Where To Go 7. Relax the rules during breeding season and molting THINGS TO AVOID 1. Spray bottle if your bird is scared or if you use this method to bathe them 2. Earthquake method roughly 3. Chasing Them Down. I hope this video helps all of you out!!!
