Haskell House
Austin Parks and Recreation invites you to travel back in time to discover Clarksville, a Texas Freedom Colony settled by the first wave of free African Americans following Emancipation. The Hezikiah Haskell House, one of the neighborhood’s few remaining homes from that era, is central to the story. The Haskell House is open to visitors from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the second and fourth Sunday of every month, except December. Admission is free, and a docent will be on hand to talk about the history of the house and of Clarksville. For more information go to https://www.clarksvillecdc.org/heziki...
