If Krieg Can Be Steel Legion, Can They Be Vostroyans Too?

Following Games Workshop's apparent claim that the new Death Korps of Krieg kits are versatile enough to become Armageddon Steel Legion simply by changing the paint scheme, I wanted to put that idea to the test. If painting Kriegsmen yellow makes them Steel Legion, how far can we really push these kits if we stepped outside of simply painting them a different colour? In this new conversion series, I'm seeing whether the plastic Krieg infantry can be transformed into other classic Imperial Guard regiments, starting with one of my favourites: the Vostroyan Firstborn.
