But when the clerk who had received the thousand coins came, he said to his manager, "Sir, I knew that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow and gathering where you did not scatter. So I was afraid and went and hid your money in the ground. But here is yours." The manager replied, "You are a wicked and lazy clerk. For if you knew that I reap where I did not sow and gather where I did not scatter, you should have taken my money to the bank, and when I came back I would have received my money plus interest." And he said to those who were there, "Take the thousand coins from him and give them to him who has ten thousand.
