LIFE AFTER LOSS: MY HUSBAND'S LAST WORDS WERE A GIFT

LIFE AFTER LOSS: MY HUSBAND' LAST WORDS WERE A GIFT This month marks one year since my husband passed, and it’s been an emotional time. Grief has a way of coming in waves, and this season has brought a lot of reflection for me—on what we went through, what we shared, and the moments that have stayed with me. the last couple of days before Bill passed, Bill spoke two words to me that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. At the time, I didn’t fully understand the depth of what was being given… Not the loss itself—there’s nothing easy about that. But the moment. The connection. The peace in his words. We were so fortunate to be able to have him at home, surrounded by family, and to be there with him every step of the way. That in itself is something I don’t take for granted. I’ve also come to believe that, if we’re fortunate enough, the words of our loved ones at the end of their life can be something we hold onto… something that carries us through the harder days. his video is just one piece of what life after loss has looked like for me. If you’re walking through grief as well, I hope this reminds you that even in the hardest moments, there can still be something meaningful—something we carry forward.
