We began our long-awaited trip from Santa Catarina to Minas Gerais, heading for the incredible Serra da Canastra, aboard the motorhome and towing the Jimny in the trailer. The idea was to combine the comfort of a home on wheels with the versatility of a small 4x4 to explore the dirt roads and hidden corners of Canastra. But, like every good adventure, the journey began with an unexpected event. Early on, we realized the Jimny wasn't responding well to being towed. A mechanical issue forced us to make a strategic stop at the repair shop, before we even hit the road. Nothing serious, but enough to delay our departure and generate a dose of anticipation mixed with anxiety. While we waited for the repair, we imagined the scenarios that lay ahead: imposing waterfalls, challenging trails, and the taste of the famous Canastra cheese. The repair shop, which could have been a frustrating setback, ended up serving as a reminder that traveling in a motorhome also means opening yourself up to the unexpected on the road. After all, every unexpected pause is part of the journey's narrative and often yields good stories to tell. With the Jimny ready to go, we hit the road again with even more enthusiasm. The Serra da Canastra awaited us, and we knew that the initial hardships would be just the seasoning for an unforgettable adventure.
