Turbo Transformer Tuner on BMW B48 / B58 GEN 3 installation

This video shows how to install our latest tuner for the 2024+ BMW 330i, 340i, X1, X3, X5 and comparable Mini Cooper models. The level of detail will help you install other tuners such as a JB4, Race Chip, DINAN, etc although your procedure may vary slightly. This product intercepts the boost pressure sensor signal. However, for the 3rd generation of B48 and B58 engines, BMW has switch to digital pressure sensors (SENT - Single Edge Nibble Transmission). Consequently, the old style tuners, meant for analog sensors, is not compatible anymore. In response, we (Turbo Transformer) have developed our own in-house solution. The upgraded ARM processor captures the incoming SENT frames, decodes the frames into pressure and temperature data. Likewise, outgoing nibbles are constructed into SENT frames with checksum re-calculated and transmitted to the ECU. The result is a gain of +4 PSI and smooth uninterrupted power delivery.
