Provincial Legislature Sitting | Saul to announce executive council on Tuesday
Northern Cape ANC chairperson Dr. Zamani Saul has been re-elected Premier of the province, beating the DA's provincial leader, Izak Fritz, by19 votes to 11 in the first sitting of the provincial legislature. Although the ANC failed to win an outright majority in the elections, taking 15 of the 30 seats in the legislature, the Freedom Front Plus and Patriotic Alliance, which have combined four seats, supported Saul's candidacy. Earlier SABC News spoke to reporter Thabiso Radebe, who is in the Northern Cape, to find out more about the executive council posts and positions in the legislature in Kimberley.
