Vida y anécdotas de San Leopoldo Mandic

Saint Leopold Mandic was born in Castelnuovo, Dalmatia, in 1866. At the age of 16, he entered the Capuchin Order. From 1909 until his death, he lived in Padua, where his reputation as a confessor and saint grew. Despite his poor health and constant pain, he spent countless hours in the confessional, without interruption or rest, until the day he died. He was kind to penitents; instead of imposing heavy penances, he mortified himself and atoned for the sins of others. Brother Leopold also visited the sick, comforting them and leading them to God. He performed several miracles during his life. He died on July 30, 1942, and was canonized in 1983.
