January First Monday Forum: Values-Based Narratives in U.S. Foreign Policy

PCDA's January 5th program featured James Ketterer, Senior Fellow at Bard College's Center for Civic Engagement, alongside Kevin Maloney, Director of Communications at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, who discussed their recent report, Illiberal Narratives and Shifting Values: Examining Competing Visions of the U.S. and its Role in the World. Ketterer and Maloney shared key insights from the Carnegie Council’s narratives working group—a global community of experts examining the liberal-to-illiberal transition in U.S. foreign policy discourse in a moment when long-standing soft-power institutions are being defunded and disbanded.
